HELLO & WELCOME
My name is Andrea Baron Yurkew
I am a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist
with over 20 years experience helping people reach their health goals.
My primary focus is clinical nutrition. I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison
and have worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Northwell Hospital Gestational Diabetes Program and Huntington Hospital, as well as maintaining a private practice
throughout my over 20 year professional career.

PROFESSIONALISM FOR PEACE OF MIND
Nutrition counseling should be offered by a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Not all “nutritionists” are registered dietitian and/or have a license. Know you are collaborating with a licensed professional. When you are seen by a Registered Dietitian, it is much more likely that your health insurance company will cover the visit.

Whatever your needs are, we work together. Whether it is to tackle a food-related medical diagnosis or assess nutrition needs with professional guided education, creating a game plan to achieve your goals, I am here to direct you. Dietary preferences, food likes and dislikes, allergies, and medical conditions are considered while we work together. All ages are treated.
